As in the previous season repeats were made but our `new` creation this season, explored, as always, some fantasy territory. The show was called A Dancing Fable. With Dancers from Langhaugen, a 6th Form College, the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and a string quartet from Bergen Youth Chamber Orchestra, we told our story.
Lisa was on her way to school and decided to take a break in order to try a swing as she walked through the park. She fell off and became unconscious. As she awakened she found herself cut off from the real world by an imaginary wall dividing the stage in two. On the left hand side of the stage a world, made up of some of her consumer orientated friends with their dance of temptation, grew. On the right with just Lisa and some elegant `dream dancers` a more spiritual world took form. The show was the story of these two worlds being pitted against each other. The dancers on the left tried to tempt Lisa to leave her new found kingdom whilst Lisa tried to tempt the `consumer kids ` over to her side. Who would move and who would stay? The two worlds unfolded and developed with music from Geir Tveitt and John Tavener.
